Peterson Club earns a narrow win in 1st Mehmood Molvi Cup Basketball Tournament

Peterson Star Basketball Club overcame Usman Club by 38-36 to claim the win in third match of the 2019 Mehmood Molvi Cup Basketball Tournament which is being played at Arambagh Basketball Court in Karachi.

The third match of the first ever Mehmood Molvi Cup Basketball Tournament was contested between Peterson Star Basketball Club and Usman Basketball Club in which it the former team that ended on the winning size at the end of the game with final score line of 38-36.

It was a thrilling encounter as both team players were fighting closely trading buckets one after the other but as the game proceeded towards the end, Richard Blaze stepped up with game high 14 points to guide Peterson Star team towards the victory  

Elvis Fernandes with 12 points and Jonathaan D'souza with 10 points also contributed well in their team's close win. 

Hasan Iqbal (12), Shariq Suleman (10) and Hamza Perwani (9) stood the top scorers for the losing side. 

Mansoor Ahmed Sheikh, DMC South Vice Chairman was the honorable chief guest who witnessed this game being played and was introduced with the teams as well. 

Pakistan Sports Welfare Association (PSWA) in collaboration with Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) has jointly organized this tournament to pay tribute to the services of Mehmood Molvi, Federal Secretary for Overseas Affairs.
