Sindh U19 win the final of National U19 Three Day Tournament

Sindh U19 defeated Northern U19 to win the title of National U19 Three Day Tournament at Rana Naveed Cricket Academy, Sheikhupura.

A six-fer from left-arm spinner Aamir Ali helped Sindh U19 win the final of National U19 Three-Day Tournament against Northern U19 at Rana Naveed Cricket Academy in Sheikhupura on Monday.

Northern lead by a mere 118 runs with only four second innings wickets left at the beginning of the last day and were bowled out for 131 setting a target of just 148 for Sindh U19 to chase.

The bowling side were helped massively by a brilliant six wicket performance by Aamir Ali who took his six wicket haul for just 54 runs.

Sindh U19 chased down the total for the loss of three wickets inside 34 overs. 

Saim Ayub scored 62 runs for his side while Muhamamd Taha Khan remained not out on 61 to see his side through.

It was a remarkable comeback by the Sindh U19 side which trailed Northern U19 after the first innings. 

Northern having chosen to bat, put up 220 runs in the first innings of the match. A solid contribution by all their batsmen propelled them to a competitive score on a seaming wicket. Mehran Mumtaz with his quickfire 41 topped the scoring table for Northern U19 side.

Arish Ali Khan picked up a five wicket haul for his side.

In reply, Sindh were bowled out for 204 runs still short of Northern's score. Mubashir Nawaz and Muhammad Usman both scored fifties for their side.

It was a completely different story in the second innings as Aamir Ali blitzed through the Northern U19 side, picking up six wickets and skittled the opposition for just 131.

Sindh U19 batsmen chased down the total with ease.
