Pakistani taekwondo athletes to train under skilled foreign coach, Mr Han Sangsu
The Korean taekwondo coach, Mr Han Sangsu has arrived in Islamabad to teach the athletes as well as the officials of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation.
According to the information provided by Lt Col (R) Wasim Ahmed Janjua, President Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTWF), the top-notch Korean taekwondo coach, Master Han Sangsu has landed in Islamabad and was received by the federation’s officials gladly.
This was made possible through sole efforts of PTWF as they have brought the foreign coach in highly limited resources and almost with no financial assistance. The world’s renowned coach will not only train top Pakistani professional players and coaches but also Pakistani officials, who might be representing the country on international platforms in the near future.
The PTWF President said,
“But we need the support of IPC Minister and DG PSB as without their all-out backing, it will be almost impossible for the federation to shoulder the huge expenses. I hope that Dr Fehmida Mirza will surely take good care of the federation as well as the players. We have been working out of our skins to win international titles in highly limited resources. We have win major medals and our athletes are creating waves at international circuit."
The Olympics qualifiers are to begin soon for which the Federation is pinning its hopes on its talented fighter, Haroon Khan, who they hope might directly qualify for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020.
