Mahoor Shahzad wins women's singles title of Yonex Sunrise Pakistan International Series 2019
Mahoor Shahzad defeated the number one seed Soraya Aghaeihajiagha of Iran to win the women singles title of the event being played at Rodham Hall, Pakistan sports complex, Islamabad.
Mahoor Shahzad of Pakistan produced a stunning display in the final of Yonex Sunrise Pakistan International Series 2019 to win the women singles title of the event.
Facing the top seed Soraya Aghaeihajiagha of Iran in a challenging final, Mahoor Shahzad did not put a foot wrong throughout the game, winning the tie in three sets.
She won the match by the scores of 21-15, 16-21, 21-16 to home the title victory.
Mixed Doubles:
The final day of the tournament kicked off with the mixed doubles finals where the number two seeds Hussein Shaheed and Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq of Maldives upset the number one seeds Dipesh Dhami and Amita Giri from Bhutan in straight sets to win the ultimate honors.
The final score was 21-16, 21-19 in the favour of the pair from Maldives.
Men's Singles:
The third game to be contested on the final day was the men's singles final between the sixth seed Saran Jamsri of Thailand and the fourth seed Georges Julien Paul of Mauritius.
The one sided final went in the favor of the latter. Saran Jamsri prevailed in straight sets over his opponent by the score of 21-14, 21-10 to win the men's singles event of the tournament.
Women's Doubles:
In the women's doubles final, the number one seeds, Aminath Nabeeha Abdul Razzaq and Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq of Maldives prevailed over Pakistan's Mahoor Shahzad and Bushra Qayyum in straight sets by the scores of 21-17, 21-13.
Men's Doubles:
Prad Tangsrirapeephan and Apichasit Teerwiwat, the number two seeds, won the men's doubles category of Yonex Sunrise Pakistan International Series 2019.
The pair from Thailand defeated the number one seeds Dipesh Dhami and Ratnajit Tamang of Bhutan for the trophy by the scores of 26-24, 21-14 in a scintillating final match of the tournament.
