International football megastars to play first match at World Soccer Stars Tour 2019 in Karachi today
UEFA Champions League winners Kaka, Luis Figo, Carles Puyol and Nicolas Anelka landed in Karachi, Pakistan today where they will play first match into World Soccer Stars Exhibition Tour 2019 at Rahat Football Staidum.
The much-awaited World Soccer Stars Tour 2019 will kick start today as the football superstars: Former Brazilian midfield maestro, Kaka, Portugal's great Luis Figo, former world cup winner Carles Puyol and former France striker, Nicolas Anelka have just landed at Karachi Airport and will be meeting their fans at 2:00 PM sharp at Dolman Mall, Clifton and then will be playing their first match at Rahat Football Stadium.
The international football legends then will proceed to play another game in Lahore at National Hockey Stadium, tomorrow.
For the very first time in Pakistan’s soccer history, Pakistani footballers will get a chance to showcase their talents by going head to head with UEFA Champions League winners. This was possible by the efforts of World Soccer Stars (WSS) that ran a national talent hunt program where several local skilled football players from Quetta, Chitral, Gilgit, Faisalabad, Murree, Lahore and Islamabad, featured in two months long trials all over Pakistan with a coordinated effort of Total Football.
Among the many talented footballers who participated in the trails, total eight (8) footballers have been selected which are: Kamran Ali Khan, Abdullah Shah, Yousaf Ahmad, Moezz Sajjad, Fardeen Ebady, Murtaza Haseeb, Hassaan Khan and Muhammad Rizwan, these Pakistani footballers will now play alongside the mega football stars.
World Soccer Stars is a platform bringing international football stars to Pakistan for promoting football, music and ultimately, a soft image of Pakistan. With its proven track record in producing showcase football matches, TouchSky Group (TSG) has unveiled World Soccer Stars 2019 in Pakistan.
World Soccer Stars follows on from July 2017 when TSG facilitated the showcase football spectacle featuring Ronaldinho, the Brazilian superstar, who went head-to-head with Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs. It was a first-of-its-kind soccer event hosted on Pakistani soil, which gave football-loving fans a glimpse of their heroes.
