300 Athletes to compete in 4th National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships
The 4th edition of National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships is slated to be held on 23rd & 24th of November at Punjab Stadium, Lahore.
President of Pakistan Athletics Federation Major General (R) Muhammad Akram stated that the 4th National Youth and Junior Athletics Championships will expose doors for emerging talent of Pakistan.
He announced that the championship will commence from 23rd of November at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore. A total of 12 teams comprised of 300 athletes from all over the country will showcase their skills in the two-day championship.
As many as 17 events of junior men, 14 events of junior women, 15 events of youth men and 14 events of youth women are to be contested during the Championship.
Following are the regions from which athletes will be participating:
1. Pakistan Army
2. Pakistan Air Force
3. Pakistan Navy
4. WAPDA
5. Railways
6. Higher Education Commission
7. Pakistan Police
8. Punjab
9. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
10. Sindh
11. Balochistan
12. Islamabad
Athletes aged under 20 years on December 31, 2019 are eligible for participation in the junior championships whereas athletes aged under 18 years on December 31, 2019 are eligible for participation in the youth event. As many as 17 events of junior men, 14 of junior women, 15 of youth men and 14 of youth women will be contested.
