Diamond Paints outlasted Master Paints 6½-3. Both father and son, Mir Shoaib Ahmed and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed, emerged as the stars of the day for Diamond Paints, which had a half-goal handicap advantage.
They scored a brace each while foreign players Mike Egan and Iqbal Jumabhoy contributed a goal apiece. From the losing side, Babar Monnoo scored a hat-trick.
The winners had taken a solid 4½-1 lead at the end of the second chukker. The losers, however, showed some resistance in the remaining two chukkers but failed to pose any major threat.
Meanwhile, a superb five-goal effort from Atif Yar Tiwana helped Adisseo outpace Remington Pharma/Guard Group 8½-4. Jason Crane banged in two goals and Abdul Haye Mehta converted one.
From the losing side, Taimur Ali Malik hammered a hat-trick while Kaveh Atrak contributed one. Till the third chukker, it was a close fight as half-goal handicap of the winners was vital as the scoreboard showed 4½-4.
However in the fourth chukker, in-form Atif registered a hat-trick while Jason Crane slammed in one goal to complete a huge victory for their team.
