Pakistan’s tennis ace Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Mexican partner Santiago Gonzalez has reached the quarterfinal stages of Swiss Indoors Basil in Switzerland.
The pair of Aisam and Santiago, ranked 52nd and 61st, respectively, easily defeated pair of Albert Ramos-Vinolas from Spain and Dusan Lajovic from Serbia 6-3, 6-4 in the first round of men’s doubles category.
Earlier, in first qualifying round Pak-Mexican duo toppled the pair of Robert Lindstedt & Jonny O'Mara with the final score line of 7-6(5), 3-6,10-3 and Divij Sharan of India & New Zealand’s Artem Sitak by 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 in second qualifying round.
As the third largest indoor tournament of the ATP Tour, the 50th edition of Swiss Indoors Basel carries a total prize money of €2,082,655.
