7th CISM Military World Games | Volleyball | Pakistan VS Canada
Pakistan lost their second group game against Korea, in the Volleyball event of 7th CISM Military World Games and now are set to compete against Canada today in Wuhan, China.
Pakistani and Korean military volleyball teams were up against each other in their second group game of 7th CISM Military World Games which are being held in Wuhan, China, where the green side fell on 3-2 final score line.
Koreans had to struggle hard against Pakistani players as Pakistan's side took the early lead in the match. Pakistan won the first set by the score of 25-19 and then managed to keep up their dominance taking the second set as well 25-21.
But just when the finish line was in sight Pakistan completely lost their way losing the third set 25-12. Pakistan lost the other two sets by scores of 17-25, and 12-25.
Pakistan with four points stands at the second spot in group B where other nations are: Iran, Canada, Korea, and Netherlands. Pakistan did win their opening game against Netherlands quiet convincingly with the final score of 3-0.
Pakistan is now set to battle against Canada in their third group match today and will be up against Iran the next day.
The 7th CISM World Games – the 7th Peace Games – are being held in Wuhan City of China from 15 to 30 October where as many as 24 athletes from Pakistan are featuring in three different sports which includes: Golf, Volleyball and Shooting.
With a total of 23 CISM Disciplines and one Demonstration sport, Tennis, CISM also confirmed that at least Track and Field and Archery are organized for para athletes. For the first time in the CISM World Games history, Boxing competitions are open to female military boxers as well.
