TDCP to hold 15th Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally in February 2020
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Nayyar Iqbal announced that the Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally will be held in February 2020.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Nayyar Iqbal announced that the Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally will be held in February 2020 in a befitting manner and all the resources will be brought into operation to organise the famous Motor Sports event of this historic region according to international standards.
"The arrangements are being made to organize a motorbike race on testing basis" Nayyar Iqbal said.
"The sports event will be advertised internationally to introduce the rich culture of Cholistan to the world and all the initial operational arrangements will be finalized until November 30."he further added.
The rally will be staged in Cholistan in the vicinity of historic Derawar Fort, 70 kilometres from Bahawalpur.
He directed the concerned departments to finish the assigned tasks on time. Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Nayyar Iqbal said that Pakistan Army, Rangers and Police will provide security for the event.
Commissioner told that tourist information center, camp village and the hospital will be set up at Derawar Fort while a traffic plan will also be devised for the event.
The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) announced that the annual four–day Bahawalpur’s mega sports feature of 15th Cholitan jeep rally is likely to be held from Feb 13 to 16, 2020.
