Cedar, Alpha & Nixor Colleges excel with titles in PSSO Karachi School-College Games 2019

Cedar, Alpha & Nixor Colleges defeated their respective opponents to take home the titles of their respective sports of Pakistan School Sports Olympics (PSSO) Karachi School-College Games 2019 at different venues.

Karachi School-College Games are being organized by Pakistan School Sports Olympics (PSSO) into the current year, which is featuring leading schools and colleges teams in several different sports in which all the players are seen competing with all their skills and talent so as to emerge winners in their respective sports. 

FOOTBALL EVENT 

Cedar College managed to win the title of Football event in the A-Levels category by defeating the rivals, Nixor College convincingly on the final score line of 3-0 while in the Under-17 cateogry Football event was claimed by City School Darakhshan, struggling against City School PAF Chapter in a thrilling final by the final score of 5-4 in the penalty shootout.

However, City School PAF Chapter excelled Under-15 event of Football winning it against Reflection School easily by 2-0.

Siddique Sheikh, Head Coach Pakistan Football Team, was the honorable chief guest along with assistant Coach Tariq Baloch, who witnessed the finals being played and later distributed several prizes, trophies and shield among winner teams and officials.

Khurram Arif Rizvi, Senior Director Sports KDA, President PSSO, Gohar Raza and Organizing Secretary, Muhammad Riaz were also present. 

BASKETBALL EVENT

Whereas in Basketball event, Nixor College suffered the loss in the final of Under-19 Boys Basketball event at the hands of Alpha College while the Girls side of Nixor College outscored Cedar College to win the title in the Under-19 Basketball event by the final score line of 19-11. Amna Ahmed from Nixor College was awarded Best Player of the event. 

The final game between Habib Public School and Reflection School in the Under-17 Boys category went out for Reflection School as their opponents secured the title quiet easily by 57-11. Ibad Ali of Habib Public School won the title for Best Player of the event. 

Gohar Raza Zaidi, Director Sports of IBA and President of Pakistan Sports School Games along with Muhammad Kashan, Director of Alpha College, were the guests of honors who awarded the high achievers with trophies and shields.
