Int’l golfer, Muhammad Tariq grabs 3rd Nur Khan Memorial Open Golf Championship title
Pakistan's International golfer, Muhammad Tariq with a stroke difference from leading Pakistani golfer, Matloob Ahmed earned the title of the 2019 Nur Khan Memorial Open Golf Championship which successfully wound up at PAF Golf Club in Islamabad.
Pakistani-international golfer, Muhammad Tariq and one of Pakistan renowned golfer, Matloob Ahmed were at battle in the final moments of the event when, with just a stroke difference, Muhammad Tariq took the coveted title of 3rd Nur Khan Memorial Open Golf Championship which successfully concluded at PAF Golf Club.
Played over 54-holes, Muhammad Tariq came from a two stroke deficit against second day leader, Matloob Ahmad of Lahore Gymkhana and carded an excellent 13 under 203 score including his three rounds of 63, 71 and 69 to make 203. Tariq hit a vital three under 69, 33, three under at front nine and par 36 at back nine with four birdies and a bogey.

HCP 13-18 Amateur category winner stood Adnan with his Net score of 63 followed by Captain Saad and Col. Riaz Jan. In the Veterans class, Col. Syed Mushtaq earned the top spot while Fareed Khan and Dr. Abdul Haq got first positions in Gross, followed by Jamal Ul Hasnain on the second spot. In Junior Professional category, Abdul Wadoor collect the first position with one under (143) and was followed on the second spot by Saqib (146) and Muhammad Mehran (148) settled for the third position. Senior Professional class' title was taken by Akram (140) while Raja Iftikhar (144) and Akhtar Ali (148) grabbed the second and third positions, respectively.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan was the honorable chief guest who at the end awarded the high achievers with several cash prizes and trophies.
As many as 300 talented and skilled golfers featured in the third successful edition of Nur Khan Memorial Open Golf Championship, who were seen competing with all their might so as to earn top honors in this prestigious event.
