Sindh and Punjab teams defeated their opponents with consummate ease to enter the finals on the second day of the National Women Rocball Championship at Lahore College for Women University on Monday.
The participating teams include Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata and Azad Jammu Kashmir.
Usman Ijaz Bajwa, president of the Pakistan Rocball Federation, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony and declared the tournament open at a colourful ceremony.
Hummera Mughal, Director Lahore College, Ume Laila Kalsoom, general secretary Pakistan Rocball Federation, Maqbool Arain senior vice-president PRF, Imran Afzal, president Punjab Rocball Association, Mustafa Ahmed, vice-president PRF, and Sumeria Sattar of Lahore College were also present on this occasion.
Results:
Semi-finals: Sindh beat Balochistan 2-0; Punjab beat Islamabad 2-0.
Third position match: Islamabad beat Balochistan 4-2.
