IG Sindh Inter-District Hockey Tournament from 2nd October

Karachi Hockey Association will host the IG Sindh Inter-District Hockey League from October 2 to 13 at the Olympic Hanif Khan / Dr. Jindal Ali Shah Sports Complex Karachi.

Karachi Hockey Association will host the IG Sindh Inter-District Hockey League from October 3 to 13 at the Olympic Hanif Khan / Dr. Jindal Ali Shah Sports Complex Karachi.  

The participating seven teams comprises of Sindh Police Hockey Team, District South Hockey Team, District West Hockey Team, District North Hockey Team, District East Hockey Team, District Central Hockey Team, Disc Korangi Hockey Team and District Miller Hockey Team. Each team consists of 16 players and 4 officials.

The title winner will get the cash award of Rs. 150000 while runner-up team will be given Rs 75000 and the best player for the tournament will be entitled to Rs10000. The best goal-keeper will take Rs10000 and top scorer of the tournament will collect Rs10000.

Karachi Hockey Association in collaboration with Pakistan Hockey Federation is organizing the IG Sindh Intermediate Hockey League 2019 to promote the national sport under the domestic hockey vision 2020 of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, at the grass root level among the districts players who have the passion to play the national game.

The professional Hockey League is being organized from October 3 to 13 with the help of Sindh Police Sports Board organized by KHA. Inspector General Sindh Inter District Hockey League Olympian Hanif Khan / Dr. Junaid Ali Sports Complex will be held in Karachi.

With the special support of Sindh Police Sports Board, this unique professional hockey league will provide players with the opportunity to showcase their abilities.

According to Secretary Karachi Hockey Association Secretary Haider Hussain, Sindh Police hockey team will participate exclusively in this mega event which will give domestic players a chance to play with them and learn from professional players. Secretary KHA said that the top performing players and officials at the national level have also been appointed with each team to motivate and sponsor the teams involved in the event.
