38th Punjab Open Golf Championship: Matloob Ahmed in command
The second round of the three-round 38th Punjab Open Golf Championship concluded with Matloob Ahmed taking the leading alongside others at PAF Skyview Golf and Country Club in Lahore.
The 38th edition of Punjab Open Golf Championship's second round witnessed some serious dominating performances of several talented and skilled professional golfers who are competing against each other with all their might so as to emerge winners in their respective categories of this prestigious golf event.
The second number in Pakistani golf circuit, Matloob Ahmed, the top ranked golf professional of the country, Muhammad Shabbir and Lahore Gymkhana's, Jafal Hussain displayed splendid game with their capabilities, powering their tee shots in the 300 yards plus range and shooting their approach shots to perfection.
Where Muhammad Shabbir took the lead in the first round, Matloob Ahmed was just one stroke behind to which he did not settle for any spot less than the top, being edict with his play, finished at the top spot this time with concluding with a score of gross 65, seven under par and aggregated a total of 131, thirteen under par, thus gaining an edge of three strokes over Shabbir.
The new find from Lahore Gymkhana, Jafal improved with his score of 68 in the first round, with managing 67 in the second round, with two days aggregate score of135, nine under par.
Muhammad Asif of Defence Raya also looked determined to charge up his skills for a dominating performance on the second day of the event which resulted in him marking a round of gross 67, five under par. Noe his score for two days adds up to 138, six under par.
Another talented golfer, Muhammad Munir duplicated his round of 70 with another 70 and was placed at a score of 140, four under par while women contested their first round as well where it was the gifted, Hamna who scored an impressive round of gross 74 and Aania came up with a score of gross 76.
Other women who did well were Zahida Durrani managed to be placed at a score of gross 80 followed by Suneyah at 87 and Shahnaz Moeen at gross 88.
The Punjab Open Golf Championship 2019 is seeing various proficient and accomplished golfers who are competing against each other with all their skills so as to emerge winners in their respective categories of this golfing event.
