Top golfers line-up as 38th Punjab Open Golf Championship gets underway
Leading golfers of Pakistan are competing in the 2019 Punjab Open Golf Championship which is being held at PAF Skyview Golf Course in Lahore.
The top ranked golf professional of the country, Muhammad Shabbir, yet again, dominated the first round of 38th Punjab Open Golf Championship with his splendid performance that fetched him an 18 holes score of 65, seven under par.
While the second number in Pakistani golf circuit, Muhammad Matloob equalized with the topper of the first round with fighting to his fullest all through the first 18 holes. His commanding efforts fetched him a score of gross 66, six under par which placed him one stroke behind Shabbir.
Home golfer, Asher Masih and Lahore Gymkhana's Jafal Hussain finished their first rounds with the score of 67, five under par and 68, four under par, respectively.
Golfers from Islamabad,
Hasseb Ur Rehman and Muhammad Zafar, alongside Syed Raza Ali of Mangla managed a score of gross 69, three under par.
Other golfers who got to be placed at the score of 70, two under par, with their good performances are: Mudassir Iqbal, Muhammad Amir, Akhter Ali, Misal Khan, Muhammad Afzal, Khushal Khan, Muhammad Munir, Mubariz Ahmed and Shahid Hanif.
The 38th edition of Punjab Open Golf Championship is seeing several talented and skilled professional golfers who are competing against each other with all their might so as to emerge winners in their respective categories of this prestigious golf event.
