PLCA Team does not stop: 4th back-to-back win in Independence Day Cup Color-kit T20 Cricket Tournament 2019

SHC Blues and Pakistan Lawyers Cricket Association defeated their respective opponents in the qualifying matches of Independence Cup Color-Kit T20 Cricket Tournament at UBL Sports Complex in Karachi.

Two more matches were contested yesterday where Sindh High Court (SHC) Blues and Thunder Wolves teams were up against each other in the first clash in which it were the efforts of Sindh High Court (SHC) Blues' players that made it possible for them to collect another win in their tally. 

SHC Blues scored 196 for eight with fine batting by Kamran Omer (41), Manzoor Maqsood (39) and Mohammad Asim (33). While on the other side, Thunder Wolves lost wickets at regular intervals. Usman took four wickets for 21.

The other encounter witnessed yet another incredible win of Pakistan Lawyers Cricket Association (PLCA) teams as the boys defeated Karachi Bar Cricket Association (KBCA) in their qualifying match convincingly by six wickets.

KBCA scored 140 runs for the loss of nine wickets with Aamar Iqbal scoring 38 and Mohammad Amir 35. Pakistan Lawyers team chased the target for the loss of four wickets. Hanif Shahzad scored 37 not out, Suleman Huda made 27 and Rehman Ghous 26 runs.

* PLCA beat KBCA by six wickets:
* KBCA: 140-9 in 20 overs (Ammar Iqbal 39, Mohammad Aamir 35; Hanif Shehzad 3-12, Hasan Meerza 3-31);
* PLCA: 143-4 in 17.5 overs (Hanif Shehzad 37 not out, Suleman Huda 27, Rehman Ghaus 26, Atif Baig 22 not out).
