Major Shabbir Sharif XI wins Defence Day Hockey match
The Defence day hockey match between Major Shabbir Sharif XI and Major Tufail Mohammad XI ended in 3-1 at National Hockey Stadium Lahore.
The Defence day hockey match between Major Shabbir Sharif XI and Major Tufail Mohammad XI ended in 3-1. The match was organized in connection with Defence Day of Pakistan at National Hockey Stadium Lahore (Pitch 2).
Awais Arshad scored one goal for Major Tufail Mohammad XI while Mubashir Ali, Ahmad Nadeem and Umair sattar netted one goal apiece for Maj Shabeer Sharif Shaheed XI.
President PHF Brig (R) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar were the guests of honour on this occasion. Secretary General Muhammad Asif Bajwa on this occasion said that the day of Sept 6 is celebrated every year to remember the great sacrifices of our martyrs during 1965 war against India.
“We are proud of our martyrs and their sacrifices. We will never forget our martyrs. We will continue to present tribute to our martyrs through our laurels in sports field”. President PHF said.
