Bilal beat Nizam Ahmed of Bangladesh by 4-0. The scores of the match were (101-13(51), 75-11(62), 79-0, 67-51(56).
Bilal is confident to win the tournament after giving a winning start to the tournament.
“It gives me confidence after I beat the home player,” Bilal said after the first victory.
Meanwhile, Asjad outclassed Nepal’s A M Shrestha by 4-0. The scores were 74-28, 74-22, 79-51, 82-08.
Now, Asjad Iqbal is up against Z A Azad of Bangladesh while Muhammad Bilal will meet Ashik Hussain of Sri Lanka today in their second fixtures.
Teams from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are participating in the tournament titled ‘Sheikh Kamal Memorial 1st SAARC Snooker Championship-2019’ sponsored by Beximco Group, one of the leading business conglomerates in Bangladesh.
The champion of the tournament would receive a cash prize of USD 2,500 and the runner-up will get USD 1,500, while the two losing semifinalists will earn USD 500 each.
