Sibt, Saad & Aleena stand as title winners of M. Jahangir's 5th Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship
The 5th Muhammad Jahangir's Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship concluded successfully with several players taking home victories in their respective categories at PSB Coaching Center in Lahore.
Chess Association of Punjab (CAP) and PAK Chess Club (PCC) organized themega chess event named: Muhammad Jahangir's Pakistan National Rated Chess Championship, into the current year which will marked its 5th successful edition.
This event was hosted by Chess Association of Punjab (CAP), having competitions in three different categories of: Open, Women and Under-20 years of women.
Sibt Ali, Zorez Shabkhez and Rana Yasif stands at the top three position holders in Open category while Saad Ahmad, Ahmad Zaheer and Bilal Haider took the first three spots of Under 20 category. Women category's title was claimed by Aleena Zulfiqar and she was followed by Sadia Izhar on the second spot. Anam Amjad settled for the third position.

This mega event is offered prize pursue for the top ten position holders in each category among which the title winners of each category were awarded with a cash prize of Rupees 3,000 while the runner ups got 2,000 Rupees. The third position holders bagged Rupees 1,000.
Fourth and Fifth spot winners got 800 and 700 Rupees prize, respectively whereas 6th to 8th position gainers were given cash prizes of Rupees 500, each.
Naser Ullah Rana, Director PSBCC along with Narmeen Khan were the honorable chief guests who witnessed all the above mentioned competitions and gave away several cash prizes to the high achievers of the event.
