Ammar wraps first victory for Arsalan Iqbal CC in Karachi Masters Cricket League 2019
Man of the match, Ammar Iqbal guided Arsalan Iqbal CC to their first win against Karachi Patriots in the opening match played into 2019 Karachi Masters Cricket League at Naya Nazimabad Cricket Ground in Karachi.
Arsalan Iqbal Cricket Club and Karachi Patriots team were up against each other in the opening match of the tournament where it seemed quiet easy for Aasaln Iqbal team to win the match as they claimed the victory convincingly by 35 runs.
Arsalan Iqbal started off worryingly slow but came back with a 51 from 40 by Ammar Iqbal, who was late adjudged the Man of the Match, who along with 21 from 22 by Monik Khan, helped propel them to 122 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets.
Mamoon Imtiaz was brilliant in his bowling performance, taking four wickets while Adeel Abbasi and Adnan Ghazi took two each.
On the other side, Karachi Patriots seemed at the mercy of their opportunity as their batting line-up crumbled quickly in the face of Arsalan Iqbal player's bowling. They were all out for 87 in just 16.2 overs although the team led the charge in bowling by taking three big wickets.
Asad Ullah Hamza, Tauqeer Khan and Zafar Ali followed with two wickets each of their own. Finally, Saif Ullah took one.
While in the second encounter of the tournament, Arsalan Iqbal cricket team fell to Hassan Habib team as they won their first match by 10 runs. Arsalan Iqbal Cricket Club boys were able to score 109 runs against 119 of the winning side's with 10 of their players out against 9 of the winning team's.
