Benazir Bhutto & Malik Shahid Hamid Shaheed IX win Kashmir Solidarity Basketball Festival 2019 titles
Benazir Bhutto Shaheed IX won the title of girls event while Malik Shahid Hamid Shaheed IX won the boys trophy of Kashmir Solidarity Basketball Festival 2019 which successfully wound up at Arambagh basketball court in Karachi.
Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) in collaboration with Pakistan Social Welfare Association (PSWA) organized the Kashmir Solidarity Basketball Festival into the current year to to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren.
Several talented sports persons were seen competing with all their skills so as to earn the ultimate title of the event in their respective categories as the matches were held in both men and women categories.
The match in the Boys category had Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto IX team competing against Malik Shahid Hamid IX team, in which it was the tireless efforts from Malik Shahid Hamid IX boys who itched their name on the winning side on the score broad they they defeated their opponents with their best of skills on the court.
While the Girls event saw Benazir Bhutto Shaheed IX team battling for the victory with Pilot Officer Maryam Mukhtar Shaheed IX team where Benazir Bhutto Shaheed IX players fell to Pilot Officer Maryam Mukhtar Shaheed IX girls as the winning team's accuracy and speed towards the basket and on the court seemed to much for them to match up-to.
DC South, Syed Salah Ud Din Ahmed was the honorable chief guest at the concluding ceremony along with KBBA President, Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Abdul Nasir, Social activist, Muhammad Saleem Khamisani and Muhammad Arshad, who witnessed these matches being played and gave away trophies to the high achievers of the event.
Mr Salah Ud Din Ahmed also highlighted the sacrifices being rendered by Kashmiris for right to self-determination and said that their sacrifices will not go in vain. He also expressed the importance of sports in society and said the city of Karachi is witnessing an increased number of sports as per vision of CM Syed Murad Ali Shah.
