An exciting match was seen between Mohammad Hamza Illyas and Shreyansh Deshlahara of India where Shreyansh accelerated in first frame with good scoring shots as he won by 82-19 but soon he started losing control and went down 43-55.
Again, Shreyansh Siripaporn speed up in third frame with good scoring shots as he equalized the lead at 2-2. 14-year-old Mohammad Hamza Illyas showed great stamina and skills as he produced good safety along with sheer potting to tackle Indian player to win the next frame at 57-45. Hamza closed his account by firing break of 45 points in the last frame and stepped into the pre-quarterfinal after registering emphatic victories over his respective opponent. His score was (19-82, 55-43, 51-55, 57-45, 64-7(45)).
In another Pakistani fixture, Umer Khan gave a good fight and managed to secure first frame against Aleksandr Torchinskii of Russia as he fielded properly to win the frame at 63-22 that was the alarming situation for Aleksandr in next frames. 16-year-old Umar Khan obtained 55 points lead as he placed many good safeties to win the second frame at 74-19 and maintained his handsome lead of 2-0 frames into the match.
Umer continued his aggressive play without dropping a frame to win the encounter with the break of 42 points in the last frame to book berth into pre-quarterfinal with the final score line of 63-22, 74-19, 79-15(42))by dominating the entire match.
Both topped their respective groups by staying unbeaten in all the four league matches. According to information made available here, Hamza and Umar are among the eight group champions who have been directly placed into the last-16. The pre quarter-finals and quarter-finals will be played on Friday.
