Ali Sher steer 2nd Jinnah Golf Development Tour opener

Ali Sher of Karachi Golf Club managed to take the lead of first day at Jinnah Golf Development Tour 2019 which teed off here at the Airmen Golf Club and Recreational Park in Karachi.

Through immaculate shot making, Ali Sher compiled regulation pars that fetched him an incredible score of gross 70, two under par to take the lead of the opening round played on the very first day of the championship. He was followed by another talented golfer who also came up with an under par round, Muhammad Rizwan of Lahore Gymkhana. His score of gross stood 71, one under par.

Atiq Ur Rehman of Karachi Golf Club, Sunny Masih from Lahore Gymkhana) and Lahore Garrison's Asif Shafiq ended up with par rounds of gross 72. While 73 rounds of gross were marked by  Shawn Pervez (Lahore Garrison) and Zahir Shah (KP). Among noticeable number of golfer part taking in this event, the best performance on the commencing day of the event came from the above mentioned golfers. 

The cut will be placed at the end of the second round and only the top 30 position holders will play the final round on Sunday. Top four golfers on the basis of prize money earned through the Jinnah Development Tour will earn exemption from next year’s qualifying school.

The three-day Jinnah Golf Development Tour 2019 is featuring 75 second tier golf professionals who are engaged in a battle for top honors and prize money of Rupees 1 million sponsored by Sindh Golf Association (SGA). 

This Jinnah Golf Development Tour desires and intends to promote the second tier golf professionals who seek to promote their professional golf career through performances that can be categorized as powerful and forceful enough to ultimately earn them a place in the National Open Golf Championships.
