Kashmir Tigers crowned the Champions of Independence Exhibition Hockey match

Kashmir Tigers overpowered Central Fitness Club in the Independence exhibition hockey match 2019 to mark the Independence Day celebrations at the Olympian hanif Khan & Dr junaid Ali shah hockey ground, Karachi.

An exciting matchup between Kashmir Tigers and Central Fitness Club resulted in a 5-4 result for the Kashmir Tigers in a physical and paced game. Five different scorers and goals in each quarter were indicative of Kashmir Tigers dominance from start to finish. 

The match started on fast tempo as in the opening quarter CFC went full-speed to mark 3-1 lead over Kashmir Tigers. Zia ullah khan scored two goals to give CFC early lead while Kamran Ather further enhanced the lead to 3-0 by scoring a beautiful goal for CFC and AbduL Salam hammered one goal for Kashmir Tigers to make it 3-1.

It was an end to end in the second quarters where Ayub Alam scored one goal for Kashmir Tigers while one from Shanul haq was too much for CFC to make it 4-2. An uneventful third quarter was due to the gritty defense in both circles ended at the same scores. 

It was a cone from behind win for Kashmir Tigers who were two goals down as early as the last quarter but they never lost their composure and played a very patient game, opting to let CFC have the possession. But when opportunity arose, they took their chances well as Uzair Ahmed scored two goals and Farrukh Kamal scored the last brilliant goal for Kashmir Tigers to win the match by 5-4. 

Uzair Ahmed of Kashmir Tigers declared the Man of the Match while Muhammad Arif & Muhammad Nadeem supervised the match as the umpires.
