Pakistan to feature in 10th BFA Under-15 Asian Baseball Championship
Pakistan team have left for China where they will participate in the 2019 BFA Under-15 Asian Baseball Championship which is being held from 19 to 25 August in Shenzhen.
Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA)'s 10th edition of Under-15 Asian Baseball Championship is all set to roll into action from 19 to 25 August that will be featuring a total of seven leading baseball teams from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan and hosts, China.
Pakistan team have been placed in Group A alongside South Korea, Indonesia and China, while Group B has Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Philippines.
President Pakistan Federation Baseball, Fakhar Ali Shah said that though the national side has prepared well, fancied Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea would be the biggest rivals for title. But it is a golden opportunity for the youngsters to show their mettle in the Asian event because the best two teams of the tournament would qualify for next year’s World Under-15 Championship,
Pakistan will first play against the hosts, China on Aug 19 before taking on South Korea on Aug 20 and Indonesia on Aug 22.
