Pakistan to take on Kazakhstan in 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship quarter final
Pakistan team lost to Australia 0-3 in their fifth encounter but still qualified for the quarterfinal stage of 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship where they will face Kazakhstan today at Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.
Pakistan Volleyball Team was up against Australia in their 5th pool game where the Green Shirts were not able to manage their 5th consecutive win, losing the encounter by 3-0 as the final score line.
However, it was not an embarrassing blowout for the team as they lost the sets on narrow margins. Where Australian boys marked the game high 29 in the first set, Pakistan was only 2 points behind with managing 27 points while in the second set, opponent team fell to 25 points and Pakistani players were able to accumulate 23 against them.
Australian team's victory came in the third set with 25 points lead against 21 from our side.
But the team's performance in the previous games helped them book a spot in the quarter final stage of this mega international event as the team had remain undefeated from the past four matches, first over Qatar, then Bahrain, third win against Chinese Taipei and the victory against Sri Lanka marked their fourth consecutive win.
Now Pakistan Volleyball Team is all set to take on Kazakhstan in the first quarter final of the championship which will be contested today.
