Pakistan continues winning performance at 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship

Pakistan first won over Qatar and then against Bahrain, both matches by 3-0 to qualify for the quarter final stage of the 2019 Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship which is being held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

 

Pakistan's Volleyball Team made a flying start at the 3rd Asian Men's U-23 Volleyball Championship when they thrashed their opponent team: Qatar in their first group match on a 3-0 score lie to further enhance to the next stage of the championship. 

Pakistan wrapped up their first match win on a final score line of 25-22, 25-11, 25-22 after Qatar offered some resistance in the first and third sets. Murad Khan excelled for Pakistan with six points on the trot in the second set. While Hamid, Wasim, Abdullah and Nadeem also did well for the winning team. 

Pakistan next take was on Bahrain going into the game after crushing Qatar 3-0 in their opener, Pakistan kept up their winning performance from the first game and continued it in the second encounter as well when they easily edged past Bahrain, also by 3-0 score, walking into the quarter-finals of this mega championship.

Pakistan sealed the first set on 25-21 to take the lead and kept up their solid run but the second set was locked on 15-15 due to some tight defence from Bahrain, but Pakistani players did not take any pressure and made a comeback to add to their tally the second set win as well, finishing it on 25-21 margin to take a 2-0 lead. Then the green side captured the third set too with great game play from the boys and team work that proved in their win quite convincingly on 25-15.

Today Pakistan will take on Chinese Taipei to decide the winners of Pool C. Pakistan and Chinese Taipei will then be put in the group in the quarter-finals league with Group A top two teams. 

Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) Chairman, Chaudhry Mohammad Yaqoob seemed overwhelmed with the Pakistani team's performance to which he said, 
“The team played well. Fahad Raza was excellent. He is a fine player and the coach expects more from him.”
