WAPDA thump PAF 3-0 and walk into 28th National Challenge Football Cup semis
WAPDA team have qualified for the semi-finals of the 2019 National Challenge Football Cup by beating PAF on 3-0 in the first quarter final match played at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar.
National Football Challenge Cup 2019 Tehmash Khan Football Stadium & AcademyWAPDA and PAF teams were at battle in the first quarter final match in which Ashfaq Ud Din Babar slammed home two beautiful goals to steer WAPDA into the semi-finals of the on-going 28th National Challenge Football Cup.
The two teams made some incisive rallies of attacks with players from both sides saving goal scoring opportunities, keeping the spirit of their teams high.
Playing with their best moves and extreme speed on the ground both teams started of well but it was Usman Manzoor who opened the scoring tally for WAPDA by landing a perfect slam right into the opponent's net at the 29th minute to make it 1-0 to which Ashfaq Ud Din Babar enhanced the score line to 2-0 by bolting past several approaching players from the opponent team, finally finding the back of the rival team's goal post at the 31st minute to finish the first half on 2-0.
The two teams were locked on 2-0 for much of the second session and failed to score anymore goals till the 75th minute when Ashfaq Ud Din Babar once again slammed in an incredible shot to make it impossible for the opposite team to make a comeback, thus ending the game on 3-0 as the final whistle blew.
WAPDA Football Team have now qualified for the semi-final stage of the tournament while the second quarter final will be played today at the same venue between Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and Sui Southern Gas Companies (SSGC).
