28th National Challenge Football Cup enters quarter final stage
SSGC won over Navy by 2-1 while Army and PCAA tied on 2-2 in the last league matches played into National Challenge Football Cup 2019, that moved into quarter final stage and is being held at Tehmash Khan Football Stadium in Peshawar.
Sui Southern Gas Companies (SSGC) and Pakistani Navy teams were battling in the last league match played into the 28th National Challenge Football Cup where SSGC team earned a hard fought victory by winning over the opponent team on 2-1 as the final score line.
SSGC team took the first half lead by 1-0 through Saadullah Khan who landed the very first goal of the match right into the opponent's goal post at the 37th minute to which Farhan Ullah of Navy responded late with an incredible shot that found the back of SSGC's net post perfectly in the 73rd minute.
Just when the match seemed to end in a draw, Zakir Lashari earned SSGC a place in the quarter final stage when he netted another goal in the injury time to make it 2-1 on the final scoreboard.
While Pakistan Army and PFF Tigers ended their clash in a 1-1 draw along with Pakistan Army and Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) finishing their encounter in a 2-2 draw. Earlier, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) won over Karachi United by 1-0.
