Bolton ace, Amir Khan desires to fight British boxer, Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia
Renowned boxer, Amir Khan now seems to have a desire to fight another British boxer, Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia at his next fight.
Welterweight Khan, who banked £7 million for beating Billy Dib in the King Abdullah Sports City Arena on July 12 now seems to have a desire to fight unified WBA title winner, Tyson Fury "Gypsy King" in his next bout at Saudi Arabia.
However, Khan seems embarrassed of have announced moments after beating Dib that he was fighting 40-year-old Pacman, Manny Pacquiao of Philippines on November 8 - only but the idea to fight the Filipino was soon KO to which Khan said,
"Someone from my team told me it was signed and that I could announce it. Manny has since denied it so I am flying to Dubai to see my business partners next week to see what’s been going on, because I feel I have been made to look a bit silly. I should have kept quite and not trusted anyone because it makes me look stupid and I don’t want people to think I am a joke."
Now The King, Khan believes he can use his influence in the desert kingdom to land Fury another big earner. The Saudi government is backing the sport with big bucks in a bid to promote the country - and Khan predicted it will go after a heavyweight star such as Fury next.
After helping the Gypsy King secure his $100 million ESPN deal, Khan has offered his assistance to land him another huge windfall in Saudi in the future.
Tyson Luke Fury is a British professional boxer who owns a record of 28 wins out of his 29 total fights with 1 going to end in draw and is a Heavyweight boxer. While British boxer of Pakistan-origin, Amir Khan holds an incredible record of 33 wins among his total 38 fights contested, with 20 of them won by KO. Khan is a former unified light-welterweight world champion, having held the WBA (later Super) title from 2009 to 2012, and the IBF title in 2011.
But Khan will still box in Riyadh on November 8 and the long-time domestic riva,l Kell Brook "The Special One" seems to be a possible opponent.
The Sheffield man, Kell Brook is also another, British professional boxer who held IBF welterweight title from 2014 to 2017, and has challenged once for a unified middleweight title in 2016. At regional level he held the British welterweight title from 2008 to 2010. In May 2017, Brook was ranked as the world's best active welterweight by The Ring magazine.
To his proposed counterpart for the next fight, The King said,
"I heard Kell looks a bit heavy. It is good he is training and I want that fight to happen because it could make us both a lot of money. But, honestly, I believe he should retire because he is going to do himself harm. Living the lifestyle that he lives and seeing how big he gets between fights shows this sport is not for him any more. The way things are going for him, he is not going to be able to enjoy all the things he achieved. He says he wants a big fight, but I fear he could get really hurt."
