3 Pakistani swimmers to feature in 18th FINA World Championship
Three Pakistani Swimmers will be participating in FINA World Championship - Olympics Qualifying Rounds 2019 which are scheduled to be held from 18 to 29 July in Gwangju, South Korea.
Gwangju preparations are in full swing and on track as the Organizing Committee has begun on-site rehearsals after completing the final preparations including furnishing Athletes’ Village and competition venues to ensure that the athletes, their entourage and the FINA Family are offered the best conditions and service throughout the event.
The 18th edition of FINA World Championship will feature a record 72,000 people - professional and amateur athletes, members of the media and related officials - from 193 countries.
As informed by the Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF), President Majid Waseem, from Pakistan a total of three swimmers will be taking part in this mega swimming challenge which also severs as a qualifying round for 202 Tokyo Olympics.
The Pakistani participating swimmers include one male and two females and namely they are: Haseeb Tariq, Bismah Khan and Mishal Ayesha Ayub.
Bismah have just returned to Pakistan after getting extensive training from Russia and Bismah and Mishal will depart to South Korea on July 16th from Karachi or Lahore while Haseeb would join the team from Canada.
