Pakistan bigwig Mahoor Shahzad’s World badminton ranking advances to 173

From world rank# 192 Mahoor Shahzad moved to the 173 place in World Badminton Ranking after performing in Cote d'ivoire International Badminton Tournament 2019 at Badminton Confederation of Africa.

Unseeded Mahoor got bye in the first round of Cote d'ivoire International 2019. National champion Mahoor thrashed world rank# 123 Hadia Hosny of Egypt by 2-0 in second round. 30-years-old Hadia secured 101 wins in women singles while 74 in doubles in her vocation, could not stand in front of young Mahnoor as she won the match with the final score line of 21-10, 21-19

Mahoor’s journey ended in the quarterfinal of the tournament where he lost to Thet Htar Thuzar of Myanmar by 3-0 but this improves her international ranking to 173 from 192 place in women singles.

Jubilant Mahoor of WAPDA is holding the Pakistan No. 1 ranking by winning the national title since 2016 of women singles. After 22 wins in her vocation, the 22-year old is currently ranked at 173.

Karachi-predicated Mahoor showed her excellency and proved herself to be an honour for the whole country as Mahoor is the only Pakistani player among the 20 players selected from Asia to be a part of the program that prepares potential players for the Olympics.

Mahoor Shahzad won the Annapurna Corporate Invitational International Badminton Tournament Championships 2018 in Nepal. She also won the 2017 Pakistan International Tournament of badminton and also took part in the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
