Chitral B & Gilgit C declares DAY-2 winners of Shandur polo festival 2019
On the second day, Chitral B beat Gilgit B by 9-5 while Gilgit C defeated Chitral C by 6-2 at the Shandur polo festival 2019 in Chitral.

Every year Shandur polo festival is celebrated in Chitral and many local and foreign tourists visit the district to attend this event. Besides being highest polo ground, Shandur is also used as pasture by local community living in Laspure.
On the second day, the polo teams of Chitral C, Gilgit C, Chitral B and Gilgit B participated in the ‘game of kings’.
In the first encounter of the day, Chitral B produce a skillful game as they beat Gilgit B by 9-5 while Gilgit C didn’t allowed Chitral C to play freely to win the encounter by 6-2.
Today, Gilgit-Baltistan-A will play against Chitral-A.
Shandur polo festival is an amazing festival celebrated by the tribes of Gilgit and Chitral in the northern areas of Pakistan. The tribes from the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral meet at the Shandur pass every summer.
The pass has a beautiful polo ground where a unique wild free-style polo is played between different teams of the region.
