Mudassir Sheikh's hopes fall in World U-18 Snooker Championship 2019

Reigning national U-18 champion Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir crashed out of the World U-18 Snooker Championship losing his last two group matches in Chinese city of Qingdao.

Reigning national U-18 champion Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir crashed out of the World U-18 Snooker Championship losing his last two group matches in Chinese city of Qingdao. 

Mudassir failed to grasp the 2-1 advantage as he went down 2-3 to Chinese Jiang Jun the scores being 23-64, 65-28, 42-54, 82-4, 68-15. Again the Pakistani cueists after winning the first frame lost 1-3 to another Chinese Gao Yang to make his exit. The latter won 37-66, 81-2, 72-60, 71-14. 

Mudassir could only win one match out of four that he played.

Meanwhile, Mudassir alongwith compatriot Ali Haider will feature in the World U-21 Snooker Championship which begins from Monday(today).

  • Jiang Jun (China) bt Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir 3-2 (23-64, 65-28, 42-54, 82-4, 68-15);

  • Gao Yang (China) bt Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir 3-1 (37-66, 81 -2, 72-60, 71-14).
