National junior champion Sheikh Mudassir shines in World U-18 Snooker Championship 2019

National junior champion Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir had mixed fortunes as the World U-18 Snooker Championship 2019 sprang into action at Chinese city of Qingdao.

National junior champion Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir had mixed fortunes as the World U-18 Snooker Championship 2019 sprang into action at Chinese city of Qingdao. 

Mudassir had a winning start when he staged a comeback to subdue Hong Kong’s Woo Chun Hin 3-2 the scores being 25-57, 15-73, 66-37, 67-24, 69-1. However, he went down to Syrian Yazan Alhadad in same fashion in the next tie. The Syrian was home 38-47, 31-79, 66-17, 64-44, 67-44. 

Mudassir plays back-to-back matches against Chinese cueists. As many as 35 cueists from 13 countries are competing in the event which concludes on July eight. This will be followed by World U-21 Championship.
