The U-15 and U-17 finals at the Borneo Junior Open squash tournament being staged in Sarawak, Malaysia featured all players from Pakistan.
13 year old squash sensation Muhammad Huzaifa Ibrahim overpowered Peshawar-based Humam Ahmed by 3-0 to win the under 15 title. Former under Junior Asian Number 1 Huzaifa produce skillful game to win the final clash with the final score line of 11-5,11-4,11-9.
Third seed Mohammad Ashab Irfan defeated compatriot Khalil Waleed by 3-1 with the final score line of 11-8,13-15,11-2,11-7 to claimed the under-17 title of Borneo Junior Open Squash Tournament 2019. In the same category Muhammad Hanif secured bronze medal.
Aamir Iqbal said that now the players are going to participate in the PBA 17th Penang Malaysian Junior Open-2019 to be commencing from July 9-14 at Nicol David International Squash Center, Bukit,Dumbar, Penang, Malaysia and hopefully would give good performance there as well.
Pakistan Squash Federation has sent a group of 5 players for participation in various age categories. Players from Autralia, Malaysia, Qatar, India, USA, Thailand, Singapore and Pakistan participated.
