Aisam’s duo cruises into second round of Wimbledon 2019
The unseeded pair of Aisam and Santiago outclassed Serbian duo of Laslo Djere and Janko Tipsarevic by 3-1 in the first round of Wimbledon tennis championship.
The unseeded pair of Aisam and Santiago, ranked 50 and 59, respectively, outclassed Serbian duo of Laslo Djere and Janko Tipsarevic by 3-1 in the first round of Wimbledon Tennis Championship 2019 in 2 hours 32 minutes struggle.
The first set lasted for 32 minutes where Serbian duo started the set with aggression as they broke the first-two serves of Pak-Mexican pair to make it 3-0 and continue their aggressive play to further enhance the lead by 5-2. Aisam-Santiago broke the 4th serve of opponents to make it 5-3 but Serbian duo asserted their dominance in the game to win the opening set by 6-4.
After losing the first set, Pak-Mexican duo came out of their shell and started playing aggressively with blistering exchanges. Pak-Mexican duo broke the fourth serve of Serbians to make it 5-3 and continued their highly charged game to set point at 6-3 and won the second set in just 27 minutes.
In the tense third sets, spirited Aisam & Santiago broke the very first serve of Serbian pair while both player faced a lots of break points throughout the set where Pak-Mexican duo played attentively as none of the two wanted to provide any chance to opponents to make it 2-1 at 6-4 in just 41 minutes struggle.
In the 53 minutes long decisive set, both the pairs ended on 6-6 after holding their serves. In the tie break, Pak-Mexican twice got chances to wrap up the match but could not capitalize as Serbian duo availed to make it 3-5 where Aisam & Santiago looking off-color in the middle of tie break but soon they came back in rhythm and won the set at 7-6(4), thus registered an impressive victory and moved into the next round.
