Pakistani juniors continues to reach Borneo Junior Open Squash 2019 quarters

Pakistani players continue their win streak in Borneo Junior Open Squash Tournament 2019 which commenced at Borneo Malaysia.

In the under 15 category, Ahmad Humam thrashed Salem Yousuf Al-Malki of Qatar by 3-0 with the final score line of 11-2, 11-8, 11-4. Humam will now meet third seed Gondi Rohan Arya of USA in the quarterfinal clash.

Emerging star Muhammad Huzaifa Ibrahim  defeated Lewis Jeffery John of Malaysia by 3-0 with the final score line of 11-4,11-3, 11-8 while Hanif Mohammad defeated Oon Eugene of Malaysia with the final score of 5-11,11-6,11-8,11-3.

Third seed Ibrahim is slated to meet compatriot Hanif Mohammad in the quarterfinal of U15 category.

In the Under-17 category, Irfan Mohammad Ashab overpowered ninth seeded Malaysian Punithavigneswaran Yugal Eeshwar with the final score line of 11-1, 11-4, 11-4. Irfan will meet Jeeva Praviin Jeeva of Malaysia in quarterfinal.

Unseeded Khalil cause the major upset in the tournament as he defeated second seeded Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Darwish of Qatar with the final score line of 11-9, 11-4, 11-5. Khalil will face fifth seeded Lau Caleb Hui Xuan of Malaysia.

Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has sent a group of five players for participation in various age categories. Naveed Rehman is playing in U-19 category, Waleed Khalil in U-17, Ashab Irfan in U-17, Muhammad Hanif in U-15 and Humam Ahmed in U-15 category.
