Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) to set up 15-day long training camp

Pakistan is going to participate in the XIV West Asia Baseball Cup for which Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) will be organizing a 15-day long training camp in Islamabad.

Sri Lanka is set to host India, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal and Bangladesh in the 14th edition of West Asia Baseball Cup from 15 to 20 July 2019, organised in association with the Sri Lanka Amateur Baseball/Softball Association.

Among the six participating nations, Pakistan have been drawn in group B along with Bangladesh and Iran while group A has; India, Nepal and the hosts, Sri Lanka.

Pakistan performance is the sport of baseball has been quite noticeable as the team had attained 5th position in the Asia and 23rd in the World. Thus the Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) is very hopeful that this time as well, the team will return home with the title win, but for this result to be the final, it is essential for the players to prepare themselves before hand for which, the Inter-Provincial Sports Ministry has allowed Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) to set up 15-day long training camp in Islamabad.

 President PBF Fakhar Ali Shah said,

“The Federal Inter-Provincial Minister, Fahmida Mirza ordered for special arrangements for the training camp and it is very timely help for the federation to field a strong team in the Sri Lankan’s event. Pakistan is going to face tough competition from Iran and the host Sri Lanka, while other participating teams like Bangladesh, India, Nepal are not a big threat for the team."

The winners of this international tournament will qualify for the Asia Cup which is scheduled to be held in Taiwan later this year., where top nations of the region like Japan, Vietnam, South Korea and Japan would be the giants teams. 

Following probables will attend the camp which will be supervised by national coaches, Musadiq Hanif and Syed Babar Ali Sherazi.

Probables: Inayat Ullah Khan, Muhammad Amjad Aslam, Arsalan Jamshaid, Faqir Hussain, Muhammad Rafi, Ubaidullah, Muhammad Abdullah, Fazal ur Rehman, Jawad Ali, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Zakir, Muhammad Sumair Zawar, Umair Imdad Bhatti, Tariq Nadeem, Muhammad Haris, Arshad Mahmood, Muhammad Sadiq, Ahtisham Akram, Muhammad Taimoor Javed, Muhammad Zohaib Malik, Ihtisham ul Haq, Haseebullah Khan, Syed Amin Afridi and Muhammad Awais.
