Proficient Pakistani team thrash Bangladesh 3-0 in the Fed Cup Group-II encounter at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Pakistan team comprises of Sara Mansoor, Sarah Mahboob, Meheq Khokhar and Noor Malik.
It was simply no contest at all as a truly magnificent Pakistan's no.1 & Captain Sara Mansoor toying with her opponent Jarrin Sultana Jolly as the Sara was in excellent touch and showed aggression right from the word go and didn’t allow her opponent to earn even a single point to win the set at 6-0.
Rawalpindi-based Sara kept the same pressure in the second set as the right-handed base line player of tennis, was a bit lenient in the second set as she conceded just one point to win it 6-1, thus registered lead of 1-0.
In the second match Sarah Mehboob khan was off to flying start as she produced a skillful game and didn’t allowed her opponent Eshita Afrose to play freely. Sarah won the match by 2-0 with the final score line of 6-1, 6-2.
Earlier, Pakistan had lost to Hong Kong (0-3) and New Zealand (0-3). Seven teams are competing in two pools. The winners of each pool will play a play-off to determine which nation advances to Asia/Oceania Zone Group-I.
In the final match, the pair of Meheq & Noor overpowered Mashfia & Susmita by 2-0 with the final score line of 6-4,6-4 and won the encounter by 3-0 for Pakistan.
