Mamba Squad & KBBC sparkle in 3rd Commissioner Cup Basketball Tournament
Mamba Squad defeated Usman Club while KBBC won against Aram Bagh Club in the last two matches played into the 2019 Commissioner Cup Basketball Tournament which is being held at Armabagh basketball court in Karachi.
Two more matches were played into the said tournament in which the first clash was a battle between Mamba Squad and Usman Club teams in which Mamba Squad finished the game as a one sided encounter on a 52-18 score line.
The winner team dominated 90% of the game as the losing side's players were lacking in their stamina, speed and skills which benefited Mamba Squad to take the win home. Players from Mamba Squad dominated the first quarter with a 7-4 lead and enlarged their advantage to double figures till the last quarter, 12-3, 15-4 and 18-7, en route to their victory.
Individual scores from the winning team were Asif, Muhammad Sameer and Muhammad Raza who each dubbed 21, 14 and 10 points put a lot of pressure on the opponent team which earned Mamba Squad team the big win.
For Usman Club, main scorers were: Maayed and Faizan Yousaf.
This match was played under the supervision of skilled referees, Musniaf Shah, Ashraf Yahya and Jamil Sheikh.
While in the other encounter, KBBC team took on Arma Bagh Club in which KBBC team earned a hard fought victory against their opponents by the final score line of 53-44.
The two teams made some incisive rallies of attacks and prevented much to their will to not let the other team player score but KBBC boys responded well to their opponent's attacking game, not giving much room to their rivals to stop them, dubbing one goal after the other and led the game by 21-16 till the half time.
Till the end, the winner team players did not lose their momentum and finally finished the game in their favor through the brilliant performance of Ahmed who dominated the paint to score a game-high 11 points and Wajji and Saad added 10 point each. To this performance, the hosts, Arma Bagh Club failed to overturn the score although great efforts from Ashraf Yahya and Ubaid Hafeez who each managed score 20 and 09 points but still could not gain the win for their team.

Today, Neighborhood Club will take on Bahria Club at 08:30 PM in the first match while Lecole Ballerz will lock horns with Bounce Club in the second game at 09:30 PM at the same venue.
