Pakistan Super Veterans Cricket Team tastes first fall in their England Tour (2019)
Pakistan Super Veterans Cricket Team lost its opening match of their England Tour (2019) against Yorkshire County by 9 wickets at Woodlands Cricket Club, Bradford.
The opening match of the Tour was played between Yorkshire County and Pakistan Super Veterans Teams in which Yorkshire County dominated the game making Pakistani team fall by 9 wickets.
Yorkshire Captain won the toss and put Pakistan Super Veterans into bat. Due to overnight rain, the pitch was wet and was very difficult for batting which caused Pakistan Veterans to skittle for just 102 runs in 42.1 overs.
Former First Class player, Sajid Kabir Khan scored a fine 49 with seven fours off 84 balls. Nadeem Omar, who opened the innings, scored 25 off 25 balls with four fours. Martin Ivill took 3-21 and Muhammad Maroof bagged 2-20 runs.
In response, Yorkshire County reached the winning target of 102 in only 15.5 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Martin Ivill again excelled with his batting and scored 46 with the help of nine fours in 41 balls. John Flintoff was unbeaten on 30 with three fours in 45 balls.
For the Pakistan Super Veterans, Amin Ullah Raisani took the only wicket for 20 runs. The captain of Yorkshire Martin Ivill was declared the player of the match for his brilliant all round performance.
Pakistan Super Veterans will play its second match against Lancashire County today at the Heywood Cricket Club, Heywood.
