Cannon Cricket Lahore announced 70 Club for 2nd Cannon Foam Challenge Cup one day Club Cricket Tournament. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued NOC to Golden Star Cricket Club for holding Cannon Challenge Cup One-day Club Cricket Tournament.
According the Tournament Secretary Hafiz Shahbaz Ali the dates of inauguration of the tournament will be announced later this week. The tournament will be participated by 70 clubs of all the three zones of Lahore Regional Cricket Association (LRCA).
The tournament committee has also announced that if any club intends to change the 20-member squad, they can do it by sending their names to tournament secretary on the club’s letter head well by June 15.
According to tournament secretary Shahbaz Ali the participating teams of the event were divided into eight groups at a special meeting of the tournament committee held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Ibrahim of the Cannon Foam.
Winners Young Lucky Star and runners-up Golden Star have been put into league round directly.Groups of the participating teams are:
Group A: Cannon Gymkhana, Mughalpura XI, Ghaziabad Gymkhana, Brothers Club, Ideal Club, Lahore Gymkhana, Zareef Memorial, Faiz Bagh Gymkhana.
Group B: Garhi Shahu Gymkhana, Imperial Club, Young Prince, Pindi Gymkhana, New Ittefaq, Apollo Sports, Javed Memorial, Gen Akhtar Abdur Rehman Club.
Group C: Khan Sports, Prince Club, Servis Club, Wahdat Eaglets, Khizra Club, Dar Club , Muslim Gymkhana & MP Gymkhana.
Group D: Cantt Gymkhana, Mughalpura Gymkhana, Muslimabad Gymkhana, Mughalpura Sports, Young P&T Gymkhana, Albilal Club, Victories Club and Islampura Eaglets.
Group E: Dharampura Gymkhana, Ghalib Sports, Young Mughalpura Gymkhana, Faran Sports, Bright Morning, Cricket Centre, Baghbanpura Greens, Shahdara Club.
Group F: Lucky Star, Mughalpura Whites, Amir Memorial, Model Town Greens, Kataria Club, Township Greens, IK Sports, Apollo Club.
Group G: Mughalpura Greeners, Bagbanpura Eaglets, Shining Club, Crescent Club, Township Whites, P&T Gymkhana, Crown Club, City Gymkhana.
Group H: Ghalib Gymkhana, Gaddafi Club, Ludhiana Gymkhana, Township Crown, Shah Faisal Club, Mehboob Park Gymkhana, Universal Club, Jallo Gymkhana.
