PCB cancels Draws for Fazal Mahmood Cup 2019
Amid protests by the East Zone of the Lahore City Cricket Association, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cancelled the draws of the third round of the Fazal Mahmood Cup.

Amid protests by the East Zone of the Lahore City Cricket Association, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has cancelled the draws of the third round of the Fazal Mahmood Cup.
It is learnt that the East Zone wrote a letter to the PCB, alleging that it has violated the domestic rules by appointing the umpires and also deciding the venues of the third round of the tournament.
Decisions regarding appointment of umpires and selecting the venues is constitutionally the zone’s right while the PCB announces the schedule.
According to the letter written by East Zone president Najaf Hameed Khan, the zone has also demanded severe action against Kashif Zahid, senior manager Domestic Linkage PCB for misusing his authorities on several occasions during the tournament.
The zone also requested the PCB to convey to it the third round’s draws so that it could finalise the date, venues and match officials as per requirements of the constitution.
The zone also pointed out that the affairs of the Fazal Mahmood tournament are being run by five different departments of the PCB, which are “creating chaos and confusion”.
