Ramadan Floodlight Games 2019 concludes successfully
Mahine Durrani and Hamid Khan clinched the Women and Men squash title part of the colourful Ramadan Floodlight Games, which concluded at well-decorated and beautiful illuminated Hayatabad Sports Complex, Peshawar.

Chairperson DEDIC Committee, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Member Provincial Assembly Asia Khattak was the chief guest on this occasion. Administrator Hayatabad Sports Complex Syed Jaffar Shah, Olympian and Special Athlete Nasrullah Khan, Director National Book Foundation Murad Ali, Eye Specialist Dr. Yasir Murad, Chief Planning Officer KP Asif Ali, international table tennis special player Ibrahim Khan, players, officials and large number of spectators were also present.
The colourful closing ceremony of the 15-day long Ramadan Floodlight Games concluded at Hayatabad Sports Complex and the jubilation's were there as around 350 male and female players took part in six different events part of the Ramadan Floodlight Games including Table Tennis male and female, badminton male and female, karate male and female, squash male and female, taekwondo male and female, and wushu male and female and boxing male.
Besides awarding medals, trophies, certificates, cash prizes, the players also enjoyed the colourful closing ceremony including musical night and grand firework, taekwondo, gymnastic, karate, demonstration and the two squash finals of the female and male category.
In the first final Mahine Durrani defeated her strong rival Aleena Hashmi by 3-1, the score was 13-11, 10-12, 11-9 and 11-8. Saleena and Tehmina got third and fourth position respectively while in the male category Hamid defeated Dr. Yasir by 3-0 in the final, the score was 11-8, 11-9 and 11-9, Dr. Mujtaba and Jalal got 3rd and fourth position respectively.
In the Badminton event current national ranking international player Shoaib Riaz defeated national junior champion Qari Adnan by 21-19, 23-21 and 21-18. In the Women doubles Kainat and Nooreen defeated Malika and Fatima by 2-0, the score was 21-17 and 21-19, in the boys singles Qazi Afaan beat Qazi Safwan by 2-0, in the doubles Mahmood and Qazi Khan beat Shahzad and Hammad by 2-0, in the kids Madiha won the trophy after defeating Muhammad Ahmad. Muhammad Saad, Zohaib and Ayaz got first, second and third position in the Junior kids category.
In Taekwondo Waqas Taekwondo Academy got first position with 74 points, claiming two gold, three silver and four bronze medals, followed by Yasin Academy with 69 points, got two gold, two silver and three bronze medals, Basahir Academy got third position with 47points, with winning two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
Bilal, Zahid, Ahmad Bashir, Ibrahim, Asad and Mehran won gold medal, Baryal, Salman, Adnan, Muhammad, Yousaf won silver, and Safiullah, Abdul Kabir, Muhammad Khan, Hassan Ali, Atta Ulolah, Ihsan, Samin, Mehboob, Amir, Hassan Junior and Sadaqat claimed bronze medals.
In Boxing Peshawar Academy with 75 points got first position, followed by Hayatabad Boxing Academy with 55 points, Fazal, Shehzad, Amir, Matiullah, and Jawad won gold medal, followed by Abbas Habib, Zakir Ullah, Mohsin, Abdul Maqeet and Aamir Waseem.
In Table Tennis national player Shayan Farooq win the trophy after defeating Umam Khawjah by 3-2, the score was 8-11, 9-11, 13-11, 11-8 and 12-10. In the Junior category Abdul Wasay beat Hammad by 3-0 and in the senior category Kamranbeat Qazi Asar. In the female category Iqra Rehman beat Nimran Reham by 3-0 in the final.
In the Gymnastic Adil, Abu Bakar, Fitma, Tayyaba, Talha won gold medal, followed by Noor, Tanveer, Shahab, Shahid and Nooreena and Bilal.
In the Wushu Safina Zohaib won gold medal, followed by Romaisa and Laiba, in the team event Romaisa and Safina, Shaeer, Asad Ullah, Mina Baz and Laiba won the trophy, Salman Khan, Lubna, Muhammad Rehman, Samir, Idrees Khan and Binyamin got runners-up trophy and Asad Iqbal, Hira,Roshni, Shehzad and Javeria took third position trophy.
In Karate, Tayyab, Umar, Sudair won gold, Abbas Ayaan and Safi claimed silver and Talha, Zia Khan and Zia Ur Rehman got bronze medals. Ayaz Ali in 15kg, Safi in 20kg, Yahya in 25kg, Umar in 30kg, Yousra in 35kg, Abbas Ali in 35kg, Adil in 40kg, Iqra in 40kg, Bilal in 67kg, weight category of the Karate event won gold medal.
In the 15kg weight Ayaz Ali, Shaeer, Azam won gold, silver and bronze medals, in 20kg Safi, Zai and Subais, in 25kg Abbas Ali. Yahya and Shehzad, in 30kg Usman, Talha and Zia, in 35kg Abbas Ali, Zia and Zia Khan, in 40kg Adil, Tayyab, Talha, in 40kg Iqra, Romaisa and Yousra won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. In the group Kata Tayyab, Umar and Sudais won gold, Abbas, Ayaan and Safi and Talha, Zia and Zia Khan won silver and bronze medals respectively.
At the end, the chief guest gave away trophies, cash prizes, medals and certificates to the position holders. The chief guest also awarded shields to Nasirullah Olympian in Paralympics Games, badminton coach Nadeem and Naveed, Amjad Khan, Kamran, Afzal, Fatima, Shakil Khan, Syed Shahzad, Tariq Khan, Naeem Khan,Ibrahim, Asim Sheraz, Shahid Afridi, Ilyas Afridi.
