Ahmad, Ibrahim, Asim wins in Ramadan Summer Squash Camp 2019
A month-long Ramadan Summer Squash Camp of Under-9 and Under-12 Boys and Under-11 and Under-12 Girls concluded here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex, Pesahwar.
A month-long Ramadan Summer Squash Camp of Under-9 and Under-12 Boys and Under-11 and Under-12 Girls concluded here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex, Pesahwar. Besides teaching the basic of squash, all the 80 participants have their League matches in the Under-9, Under-11, Under-12 Boys and Under-12 and Under-12 Girls categories.
In the Under-9 Ahmad Khalil took first position as he played 12 matches and won all by winning 24 sets and lost three sets only, followed by Fawad with played 12 matches, won 12 and lost two matches, Mamoon also played 12 matches won 10 and lost 2, Muhammad Hamza and Murad Khan played 12 matches, lost three matches each and won nine matches each, followed by Talha won seven matches and lost five matches, Awais Riaz won five matches and lost seven matches, Ayaz Khalid lost eight matches and only four matches, Aziz Ali won only two matches and lost 10 matches, Jawad Asad won two matches only and lost 10 matches while Muhammad Hammad Adil lost all 12 matches.
In the Under-11 Ibrahim won all 21 matches out of 21 matches, Umair won 20 matches and one lost, Haris Zahid won 19 matches and lost two, Hamza Ahmad won 19 matches and lost two matches, Nouman, Mustafa, Mubeen won 16 matches and five matches lost.
In the Under-12 category Muhammad Asim and Usman played 21 matches each and lost six matches, Saif Ullah, Azan, Abdul Sakoor and Muhammad Khan played 20 matches and lost two matches out of 20 matches. Kashmala, Zarin, Zainab, Mehvish, Nimran, Hira, Kalsoom, Zohra, Niama, Javeria, Lubna, Ifra, Mehreen, Samreen were also part of the month-long camp.
Head Coach of Blues Tone Squash Academy and Member Executive Committee Wazir Gul was the chief guest on this occasion, President KP Squash Association Qamar Zaman, Head Coach of PAF Squash Academy Atlas Khan, former World No. 10 Amjad Khan, PAF coaches Gulab Sher, Maqsood Hanif, Nazir Khan, Kamran Khan, Riaz Khan, Secretary KP Squash Association Munawar Zman, Sher Bahadar Khan were also present on this occasion.
Qamar Zaman, who is also Vice President Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), disclosed that hosting of the Summer Squash Camp is an annual feature of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association calendar wherein more than 80 boys and girls are part of the camp for this year.
He said during the camp league matches were also played among the players of the Ramadan Summer Squash Camp and the position holders awarded cash prizes and trophies so that they could be encouraged.
He also appreciated Pakistan Squash Federation for the dedicated and commitment toward the promotion of squash in the country. He said if decision would be made on merit and due attention was given to the deserving players, the Pakistani players have the potential to and come and show their performance in the international circuit.
At the end, the chief guest from his own pocket announced Rs. 500 each for the 35 players and six coaches as Eidi with one squash ball.
