Shahbaz Senior Hockey Academy beat Uzbekistan 2-1 in final match of Five Match Series

Shahbaz Senior Hockey Academy defeated visiting Uzbekistan hockey team by 2-1 in the final match of the practice tour of Uzbekistan to Pakistan at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.

The final match of five match series were played between Shahbaz Senior Hockey Academy and Uzbekistan hockey team under the supervision of Pakistan Hockey Federation at National Hockey Stadium Lahore. 

Shahbaz Senior Hockey Academy defeated visiting Uzbekistan hockey team by 2-1 in the final match of the practice tour of Uzbekistan to Pakistan at the National Hockey Stadium pitch No 2. 

Uzbekistan were off to flying start as they displayed good moves and better hockey skills and techniques to put Shahbaz Senior Hockey Academy under pressure and take 1-0 lead in the first quarter. Oybiok was the player, who opened the account of Uzbekistan team at 17th minute.

After that, Shahbaz Senior Hockey Academy squad fought back well and not only proved a rock solid wall for Uzbek attack but also launched a series of attacks on Uzbekistan’s goal and also succeeded in converting a beautiful equalizer through Touseef, who fired in a fabulous goal in the 28th minute while Ahmar added a one more goal in Pakistan's team favor at the 41st minute to make it 2-1.

By the end of the match, both teams failed to score more.

On the occasion, Chief of Punjab Hockey Association Col. R. Asif Naz Khokhar, PHF Director Admin Maj R Javed, Zahid Ali of Asian Hockey Federation, Ghulam Ghos, Mohammad Ayub, Empire Manager Dilawar Bhatti, besides the most respected hockey Officials and the audience of hockey were also present. Uzbekistan hockey team will back to his homeland today.
