U-17 player Farhan Hashmi to play career's first PSA event names 'FMC PTV Ltd International Squash Championship 2019'

An international squash event named "FMC PTV Ltd International Squash Championship 2019" exclusively for Pakistani players will be held from June 11-15 at Punjab Squash Complex, Lahore.

An international squash event named "FMC PTV Ltd International Squash Championship 2019" exclusively for Pakistani players will be held from June 11-15 at Punjab Squash Complex, Lahore. Punjab Squash Association (PSA) is the organiser of this $16,500 FMC International Squash Championship. This is the third PSA tournament of the year Pakistan is hosting. However, it is open only for Pakistani nationals.
The championship carries prize money of USD 11,000 for men's while USD 5,500 for women event. Under-17 players Farhan Hashmi will play the first PSA event of his career as he has got wildcard for the $11,000 FMC International Squash Championship. 
The country’s top player Tayyab Aslam, ranked 51st, is top seed and Asim Khan is second seed. Amaad Fareed is third, Israr Ahmed fourth, Ali Bokhari fifth, Zahir Shah sixth, Adil Maqbool seventh, and Danish Atlas eighth.

The next eight are Muhammad Bilal (Italy), Abdul Malik, Haris Iqbal, Abbas Zeb [U19], Mohammad Farhan, Faisal Riaz (US), Haris Qasim, and Naveed Rehman [U19]. The unseeded players are Waqas Mehboob, Bilal Zakir, and Saad Abdullah.

Last year, Egypt's Youssef Soliman annexed the FMC International Men's Squash Championship 2018 title after defeating Malaysia's Ivan Yuen by 3-2 in the final played in four-walled glass court installed here at a local hotel in Lahore.
