Mohammad Akif secures silver medal in USA Open Karate Championship 2019

Pakistan's talented karatika, Mohammad Akif Ali won silver medal in the 2019 USA Open Karate Championship 2019 which successfully concluded in Las Vegas, America.

District Kabir Wala born, Mohammad Akif Ali made the nation proud by etching his name on the silver medal of Male Novice Kumite competitions in USA Open Karate Championship 2019. He was up against many experienced, professional and skilled Karate fighters who all gave their best to secure a position in the same category.



With his brilliant performance, Akif secured the second spot against his American counterpart: Dante Suero, as he defeated him by 7-2, Dante then settled for the third place along with an opponent from Peru, South America namely, Sebastian Guevara. While the top position was claimed by a karatika from Kyrgyzstan; Nursultan Chvnvbaev.

On his achievement, the talented player from Pakistan, Mohammad Akif Ali, contributed this win to his nation and his district, from where he belongs and specially thanked the President of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, Col. Waseem Ahmed and his teachers, Lala Mujahid Hussain and Tufeeq Hussain.

He added that he is grateful to his Father, who himself is an international master, Mohammad Asif Ali Nadir and his family who have always supported him and always encouraged him to do better than his previous performances.
